Heirloom Style Journal Cover with Draped Lace - Creative Cover Designs – Episode 1

Welcome, friends!

I’m so happy you’re here for this rare and wonderful Saturday upload.

Today begins something new — Episode 1 in my Creative Cover Designs Series.

Over the coming months, I’ll be sharing a variety of journal covers and toppers as I complete the remaining journals waiting patiently in my studio.

In this first episode, I’m decorating the cover for my Moments in Time (Grandma’s Kitchen) Journal — a piece already spoken for, and one that carries such a tender heirloom feel.

This cover features softly draped vintage lace that falls into the open mouth of the journal. I love the way it gathers and moves — almost like a fabric skirt worn by someone dearly loved. There is something quiet and nostalgic about it. Subtle. Textural. Gentle.

This journal will hold three chunky signatures, and off-camera I will be adding a hidden spine to support them beautifully. I hope this design inspires you to think of journal covers not just as decoration, but as storytelling. Thank you for spending part of your day here with me.
