Today we’re diving into rich, grungy mixed media play and turning it into functional junk journal ephemera.

These dimensional florals are created using layered stencil work, texture, deep glazing, and gold accents that catch the light beautifully.

What started as a creative warm-up became tall gusseted pockets, short, gusseted pockets, and horizontal belly bands full of depth and drama.

In this video we’ll:

• Prep our paper base so it can handle moisture and texture

• Build raised stencil florals with dimension

• Add deep glazing for that aged, vintage look

• Highlight petals, vines, and leaves with paint detail

• Finish with golden shine for that final elevated touch

Mixed media doesn’t have to be intimidating.
