Full Page Series | Dual Loading Pocket Journal Page with Hidden Writing Space
Hello friends,
Today we're creating a full interactive journal page featuring one of my favorite pocket designs. At first glance, it appears to be a beautiful, layered journal page, but tucked inside is a pocket that loads from both the top and the side.
Using a simple brad during construction allows this large front pocket to function in two different directions while keeping the page slim enough to fit comfortably inside your journal. The larger top-loading section holds two generous journal cards, while the side-loading pocket tucks away two additional cards for even more writing space.
I love creating pages that quietly invite interaction. There is something special about turning a page, discovering another pocket, and finding room for memories, favorite photographs, meaningful quotes, prayers, or quiet reflections. These little discoveries are what make handmade journals such a joy to use.
The soft hydrangeas papers, vintage blue florals, distressed edges, lace and layered embellishments create a peaceful page that feels both elegant and functional. Although the construction is surprisingly simple, the finished page offers multiple opportunities to write, tuck, and discover.
I hope this project encourages you to think beyond traditional pockets and inspires you to create interactive journal pages that are both beautiful and meaningful.
