Crash Your TRASH Ep 32 - Up-cycled Clothing Tags & Book Wrap Ephemera

Hello, my friends! Welcome back to Crash Your TRASH – Episode 32!

It has been a while since we visited this series, and I’m so excited to dive back into using everyday packaging and scraps to create meaningful junk journal ephemera.

In today’s video, I am transforming:

• Two clothing tags

• A narrow book wrap pulled from a cookbook gift

I gifted my granddaughter a Sookie cookbook for her birthday, and when I saw the beautiful wrap piece around the book, I instantly knew it had journaling potential.

Instead of tossing it in the trash, I brought it home and turned it into a sliding belly band wrap that fits over the edge of a journal page.

It allows for large cards on both sides — so much functional writing space!

I also created:

• A tall bookmark using clothing tags

• A slim piece that can be used as a dangle or tucked into a pocket I love seeing beauty in what would otherwise be discarded.

This is exactly what Crash Your TRASH is all about — honoring scraps, packaging, and forgotten bits by giving them new life inside our journals.

Stay tuned — I will also be doing a longer-form design video creating this concept with digital images.

Thank you for being here and for seeing potential in the everyday with me.
