Over-the-Page Butterfly Bookmark with Hidden Writing Booklet - In the Sweet Meadow Journal
Sometimes the smallest additions become the pieces that make a journal feel complete.
In today's video I'm creating an over-the-page butterfly bookmark for my new In the Sweet Meadow Journal. At first glance it looks like a decorative bookmark, but tucked onto the back, is a hidden stitched writing booklet that creates another quiet place for memories, prayers, favorite quotes, or everyday moments.
As I worked through the design, I couldn't resist making several additional samples using different papers and themes. Once you learn the construction, it's easy to personalize them for any journal you create.
I love interactive pieces that are beautiful, practical, and invite us to slow down long enough to write a few meaningful words. This little bookmark does all of that while slipping neatly over the top of a journal page.
