Gusseted Window Pocket | Compact Interactive Design
Hello friends!
This project is all about creating function in a small space.
Today I’m working with a gusseted window pocket design that includes both a front windowed pocket and a back pocket, allowing this compact piece to hold three mini journal cards.
It’s structured, but not complicated—and it’s designed to add interaction without adding bulk to your journal pages.
In this project, I walk through:
Building a gusseted pocket base for dimension
Creating a windowed pocket to highlight focal imagery
Adding a secondary pocket on the back for extra storage
Designing mini journal cards to fit the structure
Optional use of a belly band for additional detail
This is a great design when you want something that feels intentional and functional… while still keeping a soft, cohesive look.
