Swing-Away Pocket | A Removable Interactive Element | Friday Quick Makes
Happy Friday!
Today’s Quick Make adds a little movement to the page with a Swing-Away Pocket!
The front piece is attached with a brad, allowing it to swing completely away and reveal what has been hiding underneath. In my Highland Love version, that movement uncovers a quiet writing space while the surrounding pockets hold several journal cards and pieces of ephemera.
One of my favorite details is that the swinging writing piece can also be removed from the brad. It gives you another way to use the space, write comfortably, and then tuck everything right back together again.
I’m also sharing a few different samples so you can see how easily the same construction changes personality with different papers and imagery.
It’s interactive, useful, and just unexpected enough to make you want to swing that little piece out of the way and see what’s waiting behind it.
