Friday Quick Makes | A Pretty Journal Card with Hidden Accordion Writing Space
Hello Friends,
Sometimes the prettiest little journal pieces are hiding much more than you would ever guess. ❤️
For today’s Friday Quick Makes project, I’m creating a journal card with a sweet bow on the front and a wonderful accordion writing space tucked inside.
Closed up, it looks like a beautiful decorative journal card ready to slip into a pocket or tuck somewhere on a page. Open it, though, and that little card suddenly gives us all kinds of room to write.
I love adding unexpected writing spaces to my journals, especially when they can become part of the beauty of the journal rather than feeling like something separate. And because this one starts with such a simple construction, there are so many ways to make it your own.
Change the papers, change the size, add lace or fabric, make it wonderfully grungy or keep it soft and pretty. Use what you have and let your journal decide what it needs.
This is a quick little make, but it brings together two things I especially love—something beautiful to look at and a hidden place for our words.
