🤎 Today we’re starting something a little different for my Gathering In journal: a lap book with a twist!
This video is all about the bones of the project. We’re working with raw chipboard, laying out four panels, building the interior spine sections, and putting the foundation together before any of those beautiful papers come out to play.
What makes this one a little different? Two of the interior panels will have envelope flips, giving this lap book another layer of interaction as it develops. For now, I want to show you how the structure comes together so you can see what’s underneath all the pretty details.
It may not be the most glamorous stage of journal making, but it’s an important one. I love seeing a project go from a few plain pieces of chipboard to something with so many possibilities.
