Double Gusseted Pockets with a Sweet Closure | Pockets of Possibility

Happy Tuesday!

 There is something so satisfying about a little piece of journal ephemera that holds more than you expect! 🤎

 Today in Pockets of Possibility, I am sharing a double pocket design with gussets in both pockets, giving us a little extra breathing room for the tags, journal cards and writing pieces we love to tuck away.

 The rounded flaps meet at the front and close with a soft, crinkled seam-binding bow. For my Gathering In journal, I made three versions, each with its own personality.

 The little bird is my featured project, surrounded by beautifully aged neutrals, vintage lettering, soft white blossoms and touches of music. The other samples bring in earthy greens, botanicals and quiet little words like “Roots,” “Calm” and “Rest in enough.”

 This piece can float freely inside a journal, ready to lift out and explore, or it can be glued down along three sides to make another pocket behind it. I do love a project that gives us choices without making the construction complicated!
