A Seamless Scrappy Collage Pocket with Accordion Writing Space | Gathering In
🌿 🤎 For today’s Gathering In journal project, I am creating a scrappy collage-style pocket with a little visual surprise. By repeating the image from the base onto the pocket itself, the design flows together almost as though the pocket disappears into the page. I love that quiet, seamless effect among all those lovely layers!
And, of course, there is more to this piece than what you see at first glance. Tucked inside is an accordion writing space with a pull tab at the top, ready to unfold whenever you have something to write down, remember, or tuck away for later.
This is the kind of project I enjoy most: bits and pieces coming together, a little ingenuity, and useful writing space nestled into something beautiful. I hope it gives you a few ideas for your own journals and inspires you to look at your scraps in a whole new way. 🌿🤎
