The Things We Carry | Hidden Double-Sided Accordion & Gusseted Pocket | Pockets of Possibility
Some things bloom without being pushed. 🌿🤎
Welcome back to B.Reborn Art & Healing and another episode of Pockets of Possibility!
Today we're creating a beautiful, interactive ephemera piece for my Gathering In journal, and this one has a little more tucked inside than you might expect!
At first glance, it's a lovely, layered pocket with soft botanical imagery, birch trees, delicate white blossoms, and a touch of vintage lace. But tucked securely inside that gusseted pocket is a generous accordion writing space that opens to reveal room for journaling on BOTH sides!
And because you know how much I love making the most of every little bit of space, there's another pocket hiding underneath!
I especially love the contrast between the compact design and all that wonderful writing space waiting to be discovered. The muted greens, aged papers, ribbon-tied tags, and beautiful woodland details feel right at home in the Gathering In journal.
One of my favorite things about creating interactive ephemera is finding ways to bring together beauty, purpose, and a little unexpected discovery. This project offers all three.
Whether you're creating a junk journal, memory keeper, altered book, or simply enjoying the process of working with beautiful papers, I hope this project inspires you to explore a few possibilities of your own.
Thank you for spending a little creative time with me. I'm so glad you're here! 🤎
Until next time, keep creating, keep exploring, and remember that sometimes the smallest spaces hold the most wonderful possibilities.
